Designing Equity Inspiration

                    Strategy Support for Leaders
"Declutter your professional life and design the job you love."

The personal and professional self-development journey can be complex with goals and expectations bumping up against time and creative energy. Educators, equity practitioners, and business leaders of all types are especially vulnerable to stress and fatigue that can impact our productivity and balance. When we are not fully ourselves we can burn out, often underperforming in all the ways that matter. While simplicity is a word rarely used in education or in business, I’m on a mission to change all that.

A professional strategy partner means just that: a skilled “someone” who sees, believes in and supports you on this walk, inspiring you to practice “lifting heavy things with less effort.”  It’s a simple approach to complex work, where even your toughest challenges become a launchpad for both self and organizational transformation. The best part? It’s all collaborative, emphasizing the “WE” in awesome. While focusing on the collective, amplifying “self” helps prioritize self-care and ensures this term is realistically defined and soulfully practiced.

About JO

I believe in simplicity and efficiency, even as the world becomes busier. What I’ve learned during my career is that things are constantly changing. And fast! I now understand the value of partner voices as sounding board and guide. Inspired facilitation offers human connection and makes problem solving and innovating possible.  Follow up questions that clarify a conflict, a welcoming or apologetic handshake, funny anecdotes and personal experiences will (thankfully) never be replaced by artificial intelligence, even as its benefits continue to actualize. My work and life  as a professional writer, administrator, teacher, facilitator, student and self-development partner all serve as guideposts for authentic community building. Pull up a chair, pour yourself a cup of tea and let’s give this a spin together.

Philosophy & Approach

It all begins with a vision. Your personal and strategic path will be collaboratively imagined, developed and realized. Ultimately, I am here to guide and partner, to help organizations and individuals practice courage and care as they build, enhance and clarify on the road to shaping community culture.

It might be as simple as helping re-energize an exhausted team or brainstorming the formation of a new one, taking them from start up to full throttle. Perhaps it's more person-centered, a re-design of your job description to make your goals more attainable. This approach centers on building a strategy, framework and action plan for moving individuals and groups forward, leaving them fueled and focused.

Individuals and Teams can:

  • re-energize and clarify mission and outcomes

  • strengthen group relationships and leadership skills

  • design creative and intentional programming

  • problem solve and practice conflict resolution approaches

  • Imagine new possibilities for your individual and collective roles
